Dear, The Brewers of Europe cordially invite you to attend their first virtual event about sustainability: THE BREWERS OF EUROPE SUSTAINABILITY FORUM The event will feature six virtual sessions over two days (20-21 October). | |
| |
An opening session, organised in partnership with the European Parliament’s Beer Club, brings together policymakers and brewing experts to debate the EU Green Deal, how beer fits in a green future and where brewing can help biodiversity and the environment. During four technical sessions, you’ll discover projects such as using brewers’ grains, yeast and other co-products to return nutrients to nature. Find out how small and medium-sized operations have built sustainable breweries and what best practice advice they have for others embracing sustainability. Explore what steps breweries have taken towards further reducing their energy footprint and becoming carbon-neutral. The event will close with a Euractiv virtual conference, inviting senior figures from the brewing, political and civil society spheres to answer the question of what sustainability means in brewing and how it can be accelerated. As an official partner event of EU Green Week this is a chance to discuss what the EU Green Deal and Green Recovery mean for the brewing sector, and for brewers to demonstrate and share their technical solutions.
